Building an online Learning Community around an Igniting Question
Building a Learning Community, which is facilitated through an online portal, allows for learning and creation of networks across the organisation.
We often use an onsite workshop to set the stage for the foundation of a Hot Spots Learning Community.
During the workshop we introduce the Hot Spots concepts, help the teams understand their team profile feedback, and provide hands-on tools of how participants can create Hot Spots of high energy and productivity in their business.
Benefits
This workshop creates initial momentum for the development process through peer-based learning activities.
Participants are provided with guidelines on how to translate their diagnostic feedback into learning priorities for their teams or projects.
The foundation of the Hot Spots Community at the onsite will set the stage for networking across areas of value creation in the organisation.
Participating teams will join forces and engage in a fruitful discussion around a strategic challenge.
Overview
The session is designed to spark excitement for the Hot Spots concepts and create momentum for the on-going community. We increase the cohesion across teams by asking a senior executive to present an Igniting Question for them to tackle together. Our experience is that this is an igniting question which builds on current strategic challenges and has a strong bottom-line impact in the organisation by making the teams work together. The presentation of the solution to the igniting question will then be presented by the teams at a closing session 60 days later.
We will facilitate the community through the Hot Spots Learning Community Portal which will be launched at the workshop. In this online portal we will host the learning materials for the virtual 60-day learning journey and provide the teams with a platform to continue their conversation around the igniting question.
