LYNDA SPEAKS TO AUSTRALIAN FINANCIAL REVIEW

Lynda recently gave an interview to the Australian Financial Review, in which she continued to explore the effect artificial intelligence will have on working lives over the next couple of decades. In particular, she highlighted the fact that the advance of AI means that workers will have to focus on developing the complex skills that set humans apart from machines. For many, this will mean casting aside existing mind sets. More

COLLABORATION YOU CAN MEASURE

Companies (read: management) love measurement, and in most cases for a reason. From performance to engagement, most organisations have structures in place to monitor their capabilities and ensure they are meeting the standards they set themselves. However, one vital area in which this sort of measurement is lacking is collaboration. More

There is emerging consensus that growth needs to be innovation-led. The change envisaged is not incremental but potentially transformational. It will need a combination of discipline and courage, not least from our major companies who must lead the pursuit of new sources of revenue and growth. For HR this is not business-as-usual. Many of the policies, systems, processes and behaviours (our working cultures) which have served us so well at the end of the 20th Century need to be re-designed to fit the more dynamic market conditions of the 21. (This is an opportunity to engage all employees in designing their own futures.) More
