BEHIND THE CREATION OF THE FoWlab PLATFORM

One of the biggest successes of FoW so far has been our FoWlab platform, writes Max Mockett. Over the past three years, we have been investing in our technology to ensure that our consortium members can easily access our research and communicate with each other. Recently, we have focused on developing a jam platform that encourages collaboration, engagement and mutual learning. What we've ended up with is one of the most advanced social platforms available - just click on the image to watch our video. more

BENEFIT FROM FoW FINDINGS IN PUBLIC WORKSHOP

The fourth Future of Work Research Consortium (FoW4) will be our biggest to date, which really shows the importance that companies are putting on the implications that our changing working styles and structures will have on how they build their strategy for the next decade. For those who weren't able to participate on FoW3, we will be looking at some of the themes covered in our public workshop on September 11. This workshop is founded on the research findings from FoW3 and Lynda's book The Shift, and will provide access to key future data across 30 trends impacting the future of work, as well as theory-building exercises and benchmarked surveys. You can register online.

Ulmer Award from the Center for Creative Leadership, The award, which recognises leading business thinkers with an outstanding career in applied leadership research, was presented to Lynda after she presented her latest research at the CCL's new learning campus.

WHAT WE'RE READING

BEARING THE TORCH

In keeping with Olympic fever this week, we have been reading about the lessons we can take from sport to apply to business in the works of Peter Drucker. Did you know he thought there were only three kinds of teams? You can read the article here.

WHO'S IN OUR NETWORK

IN MEMORIAM

This week's sad news of the death of Stephen R. Covey has really made an impact. He was a true pioneer in the motivational business world, and had a huge impact on millions of people, through his bestselling book The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, and on corporations. He was hugely influential and he will be sorely missed.
