CHECK OUT OUR NEW FOW THEMES

You’re probably already aware of our current FoW theme, Talent Innovation, but have you heard what’s coming up next?

We’ve spent a considerable amount of time analysing trends in the world of work and surveying business HR practitioners about what keeps them awake at night, and the result is three exciting new themes for 2015 and 2016: The Future of HR, Time & Performance and Power & Leadership. More

ARE YOU READY FOR DIGITAL MANAGEMENT?

Lynda was recently a guest on the BBC radio programme The Forum discussing the future of management – specifically the benefits and challenges faced by managers in the digital age. From the difficulties involved in managing virtual teams to debating whether we should eliminate email from our working lives, Lynda and her fellow guests covered some fascinating ground. We definitely recommend you have a listen.

15 YEARS OF LIVING STRATEGY

It’s been 15 years since Lynda published her book Living Strategy, which explores the importance of putting people at the heart of corporate strategy. It’s a visionary piece of work – and for many companies at the time it represented something aspirational rather than tangible. A decade and a half later, much has changed, and an increasing number of organisations are ready for a people-focused approach to corporate strategy.

To celebrate this landmark anniversary – and to help companies that are keen to embrace their own living strategy – we have worked with Lynda to develop a Living Strategy workshop. More

WHO’S IN OUR NETWORK? – HEATHER MCGREGOR

Author, Financial Times columnist, television personality and personal finance guru Heather McGregor (pictured on the right) – better known to most of us as Mrs Moneypenny – is a great personal friend of Lynda’s and one of our favourite inspirational women. We thing she’s a great example of someone who has successfully built their own personal brand – an essential characteristic for anyone who wishes to achieve a leadership position in future. Finally, as a team with a few ambitious members of our own, we’re big fans of her books aimed at helping people manage their finances and achieve their ambitions.

WELCOMING NEW FACES

We’re delighted to announce that The Hot Spots Movement has recently welcomed two new team members. Harriet Molyneaux has come on board to manage our jam platform and will also be focusing on business and strategic development for FoWlab Jams. We’re really excited by Harriet’s background in business intelligence high-level industry events and we are already benefiting from her keen eye.

Tom Lock co-founded a research and digital publishing workgroup before joining us to provide research and content facilitation services. With a background in Philosophy and Literature, Tom brings a studied perspective to the team, which combined with an entrepreneurial spirit, is a great addition to our already diverse team.
